Jeffrey Harris —
President and CEO
Jeffrey founded SHC Direct and leads its management
team. Jeffrey has over 20 years of marketing, sales,
sales management and client services/operations
experience in the incentive marketing and loyalty
marketing fields. Prior to founding SHC Direct, he
held the position of Executive Vice President of
Marketing and Client Services for S&H Citadel, Inc.,
Chicago. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice
President of Sales and Marketing for S&H Citadel
where he was responsible for all marketing and sales
functions. Jeffrey has been an active member of TEC
(The Executive Committee) since 1998.
David Harris —
Chief Operating Officer
David oversees day-to-day operations at SHC Direct.
David joined the SHC Direct team in October of 2002.
Prior to joining SHC Direct, David was the Founder
and Chief Executive Officer of American Trading
Services, managing the firm's operations in New York
City and Israel. He was previously Vice President
for Client and Participant Services for S&H Citadel,
Inc., a leading incentive marketing company. Prior
to that role, David was Vice President/Controller;
Manager, Financial Planning & Control; and, Manager,
Awards Services. David received his Master's degree
in Business Administration from New York University,
where he received honors as a Stern Scholar.
Doug Kershner —
Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer
Doug brings over 20 years of information technology,
operations and strategic planning experience to the
SHC Direct team. He previously served as SHC
Direct's CIO before focusing solely on client
program strategy. Additionally he is working with
SHC Direct's clients and partners to launch SHC
Direct's expansion into Mexico. Doug's experience in
loyalty and incentive marketing centers on Retail,
Financial Service, Pharmaceutical and Travel &
Hospitality. Prior to joining SHC Direct in 1998, he
was CIO of S&H Citadel, Inc., an incentive marketing
company. Before his tenure at S&H Citadel, Doug held
various information technology and operations
management positions at Carlson Marketing Group.
Doug is a featured speaker at many conferences
addressing the retail, pharmaceutical and credit
card industries. Doug is a graduate of the
University of Dayton with a degree in Systems
Analysis.
Brian Hartman —
Vice President of Client Services
Brian heads up the team that manages all operational
deliverables for our client's programs. His goal is
to insure that our client's programs are executed
flawlessly in all respects. Simply put, great
program design and strategy needs to be combined
with quality execution in order to deliver excellent
program results. Brian's mission is to make sure
this happens, day-in and day-out for all SHC Direct
clients. Prior to joining SHC Direct, he was the
Senior Director of Operations for Carlson Marketing
Group overseeing all marketing deliverables for
channel, employee and consumer programs. Brian holds
an Undergraduate degree in advertising from Michigan
State University and completed his MBA at
Benedictine University.
Rebecca Haas —
Vice President of Decision Support
Rebecca joined SHC Direct from Sears where she
served as Director of Analytics for the Customer
Relationship Marketing group. Rebecca brings over 15
years of experience in database marketing and
analytics to SHC Direct. Rebecca holds a Bachelor
and Master's degree in Applied Probability and
Statistics from Northern Illinois University.
Mark Horbal — Vice
President of Information Technology
Mark joined SHC Direct from V Technology Group,
where he served as President and chief architect for
mission critical systems. Prior to joining VTG, he
was involved in consulting and software product
development in the private sector and Bell
Laboratories. His experience in information
technology, management and business development
spans nearly 30 years. Mark holds Undergraduate and
Graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and
Computer Science from the University of Illinois.
John Morris — Vice
President of Business Development
John joined SHC Direct from Creditek, a finance and
accounting business process outsourcing provider to
Fortune 1000 companies, where he served as Vice
President of Business Development. Prior to joining
Creditek in 1999, he served as Regional Vice
President of sales for Carlson Marketing Group. John
has nearly 30 years of sales experience, with nearly
half of that time spent developing client solutions
in the loyalty marketing sector. John holds
Undergraduate and Graduate degrees in English
Literature from the University of Wisconsin.
Karyn Speckels —
Account Director, Relationship Management
Karyn, who leads an account team responsible for
managing data-driven consumer loyalty programs for
leading retailers, joined SHC Direct in 2005 from
Deluxe Corporation where she served as a National
Accounts Manager, responsible for developing,
implementing and managing branded and private label
marketing programs for top software clients. Prior
to working with the National Accounts group, she was
a District Sales Manager in Deluxe's Business
Systems division, managing sales representatives in
the eastern half of the country. Karyn holds a B.S.
degree in Marketing from Indiana University.
Todd Rudoy —
Account Director, Relationship Management
Todd manages consumer loyalty and channel incentive
programs across multiple industries for SHC Direct,
having joined us after nearly 10 years with Carlson
Marketing Group. His main areas of focus are to
ensure his client's objectives are at the forefront
of the solutions we implement, while also utilizing
program data to develop meaningful and actionable
strategies for continuous demonstrable improvement
in results. Todd holds an Undergraduate degree in
Marketing from the Carlson School of Management at
the University of Minnesota.
Michael Ptak —
Account Director, Relationship Management
Michael has been with SHC Direct since 2002 in
various roles including partnership marketing,
business development, and client services. Mike has
over 19 years of experience in sales and marketing,
strategy and operations in both business-to-business
and business-to-consumer enterprises. Prior to
joining SHC Direct, Mike was a principle with two
entrepreneurial start-up companies focused on
web-based commerce. Mike received his undergraduate
degree from St. Norbert College and his MBA from
Lewis University.
Candis Clarke —
Account Director, Relationship Management
Candis manages on behalf of SHC Direct consumer
loyalty and strategic customer activation &
retention programs for leading retailers and
financial institutions. Candis, who has 20 years of
Direct/Loyalty Marketing experience, started with
SHC Direct in 1997 and has held numerous marketing,
partnership marketing, operations and sales
management positions for the organization. Prior to
joining us, Candis was the marketing manager for a
leading consumer financial and health list marketing
company and helped launch a consumer loyalty program
for a leading Midwest grocery chain. Candis holds a
B.A. from Saint Ambrose University located in
Davenport, Iowa.
Dave Martin —
Director of Operations
Dave brings over 15 years of fulfillment logistics
and customer service experience to the SHC Direct
team. His focus for the past nine years has been
developing and growth-scaling operations for
burgeoning organizations within the e-commerce
industry. During his tenure at Netflix, where he
built out the company's Midwest operations, Dave's
drive to discover new efficiencies and best
practices resulted in a few of his initiatives
becoming company-mandated procedure. One of these
was the fulfillment process of how Netflix matched a
subscriber's movie preferences with the
advertisement they would receive on the mailed
envelope. Dave holds a B.A. from DePaul University,
and is currently working towards obtaining PMP
certification from the Project Management Institute.
Laura Schmidt —
Director of Quality Assurance
Laura manages SHC Direct's ongoing efforts to
define, implement and maintain company-wide quality
standards. Prior to joining SHC Direct in 2000, she
worked as an independent training and project
management consultant, obtained Microsoft Office
certification, and spent 12 years with S&H Citadel,
Inc., starting out in travel and working her way
into a management position in the I.T. networking,
training and help desk support areas.
Loren Levitan —
Creative Director
Loren brings over 15 years experience as a creative
lead focusing on one-to-one marketing, branding and
web development to the SHC Direct team. His primary
focus has been on acquisition and retention for both
consumer and business-to-business channels for some
of the largest retail and financial brands. At SHC
Direct, Loren heads up the creative development and
execution for all communications—both print and
interactive. Prior to joining SHC Direct, Loren was
one of the founding partners of Chicago-based,
Tenthirty Advertising. He led the creative efforts
on marquee accounts such as Visa USA, Visa
International, First National Bank of Omaha,
American Family Insurance, Bank of America, MB
Financial Bank and others. Loren graduated from the
University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in
Graphic Design.
Sharon Eller — Director of Merchandising
Sharon joined SHC Direct in 1998, she has over 18
years of catalog, marketing and buying experience.
Prior to joining SHC Direct, Sharon served as a
Senior buyer at S&H Citadel, Inc., an incentive
marketing company. Sharon gained much of her
knowledge in cataloging and purchasing through
Spiegel where she started as an inventory control
buyer and worked her way up to become an Associate
buyer. She has experience in a variety of fields
ranging from electronics, telecommunications to
house wares and jewelry. Sharon is a graduate of
Newcomb College/Tulane University, home of the Green
Wave.
